The North Westmeath Hospice are delighted to bring Hospice Sunflower Days back to the streets this year. We will have some wonderful Sunflower merchandise available throughout many locations in Mullingar including our main stand in the Market Square.
As one of Irelands longest established charity fundraisers, Hospice Sunflower Days is celebrating its 32nd year with Garden designer Diarmuid Gavin as the National ambassador.
The North Westmeath Hospice fundraising committee launched this year’s campaign and welcomed back Tina Kellegher, of Fair City fame, as their local ambassador. They are looking forward to returning to the streets on Friday and Saturday the 10th and 11th of June and asking for people to come out and support them and this worthy cause. Chairperson of the fundraising Committee, Margaret Claffey, added “I would like to remind everyone that all monies raised at this event stays local to support our palliative Hospice Homecare Services”.

About Hospice Sunflower Days:
Established in 1990, 2022 celebrates the 32nd year of Hospice Sunflower Days, one of Ireland’s longest established charity fundraisers.
On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th June 2022, volunteers nationwide will be selling sunflower merchandise to raise vital funds for local hospice and specialist palliative homecare services.
Across Ireland, Hospices need to raise approximately €20million each year to continue to provide specialist, person-centred loving care to patients and their loved ones.
The ‘Virtual Sunflower Remembrance Garden’ also returns this year and will allow people to support online by dedicating a virtual sunflower in memory of a loved one and make a donation to their local hospice at www.togetherforhospice.ie/sunflowerdays
The virtual sunflower garden is open from the 12th May until the end of June so even if you miss our collectors in June you can still support Hospice Sunflower Days online at www.togetherforhospice.ie/sunflowerdays.
Every Euro Raised locally, stays locally.
